Focus on the new scientific method is on orderly e Essay Example For Students

Focus on the new scientific method is on orderly e Essay xperimentation. For Bacon, experiments that produce results are important. Bacon pointed out the need for clear and accurate thinking, showing that any mastery of the world in which man lives was dependent upon careful understanding. This understanding is based solely on the facts of this world and not as the ancients held it in ancient philosophy. This new modern science provides the foundation for modern political science. Bacons political science completely separated religion and philosophy. For Bacon, nothing exists in the universe except individual bodies. Although he did not offer a complete theory of the nature of the universe, he pointed the way that science, as a new civil religion, might take in developing such a theory. Bacon divided theology into the natural and the revealed. Natural theology is the knowledge of God which we can get from the study of nature and the creatures of God. Convincing proof is given of the existence of God but nothing more. Anything else must come from revealed theology. Science and philosophy have felt the need to justify themselves to laymen. The belief that nature is something to be vexed and tortured to the compliance of man will not satisfy man nor laymen. Natural science finds its proper method when the scientist puts Nature to the question, tortures her by experiment and wrings from her answers to his questions. The House of Solomon is directly related to these thoughts. It is dedicated to the study of Works and the Creatures of God (Bacon, 436). Wonder at religious questions was natural, but, permitted free reign, would destroy science by absorbing the minds and concerns of men. The singular advantage of Christianity is its irrationality. The divine soul was a matter for religion to handle. The irrational soul was open to study and understanding by man using the methods of science. The society of the NEW ATLANTIS is a scientific society. It is dominated by scientists and guided by science. Science conquers chance and determines change thus creating a regime permanently pleasant. Bensalem, meaning perfect son in Hebrew, has shunned the misfortunes of time, vice and decay. Bensalem seems to combine the blessedness of Jerusalem and the pleasures and conveniences of Babylon. In Bacons NEW ATLANTIS, the need for man to be driven does not exist. Scarcity is eliminated thereby eliminating the need for money. But thus, you see, we maintain a trade, not for gold, silver or jewels. .. nor for any other commodity of matter, but only for Gods first creature which was light (Bacon, 437). This shows a devotion to truth rather than victory and it emphasizes the Christian piety to which the scientist is disposed by virtue of his science. As man observes and brings the fruits of his observations together, he discover likeness and differences among events and objects in the universe. In this way he will establish laws among happenings upon which he can base all subsequent action. Bacon realized that sometimes religious ideas and the discoveries of nature and careful observations were contradictory but he argued that society must believe both. The NEW ATLANTIS begins with the description of a ship lost at sea. The crew lift up their hearts and voices to God above, who showeth his wonders in the deep, beseeching him of his mercy (Bacon, 419). Upon spotting land and discerning natives the sailors praise God. When a boarding party comes to their ship to deliver messages, none of the natives speak. Rather, the messages are delivered written on scrolls of parchment. .ufb40399b0ab5ef785cf23300e274f77c , .ufb40399b0ab5ef785cf23300e274f77c .postImageUrl , .ufb40399b0ab5ef785cf23300e274f77c .centered-text-area { min-height: 80px; position: relative; } .ufb40399b0ab5ef785cf23300e274f77c , .ufb40399b0ab5ef785cf23300e274f77c:hover , .ufb40399b0ab5ef785cf23300e274f77c:visited , .ufb40399b0ab5ef785cf23300e274f77c:active { border:0!important; } .ufb40399b0ab5ef785cf23300e274f77c .clearfix:after { content: ""; display: table; clear: both; } .ufb40399b0ab5ef785cf23300e274f77c { display: block; transition: background-color 250ms; webkit-transition: background-color 250ms; width: 100%; opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #95A5A6; } .ufb40399b0ab5ef785cf23300e274f77c:active , .ufb40399b0ab5ef785cf23300e274f77c:hover { opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #2C3E50; } .ufb40399b0ab5ef785cf23300e274f77c .centered-text-area { width: 100%; position: relative ; } .ufb40399b0ab5ef785cf23300e274f77c .ctaText { border-bottom: 0 solid #fff; color: #2980B9; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; margin: 0; padding: 0; text-decoration: underline; } .ufb40399b0ab5ef785cf23300e274f77c .postTitle { color: #FFFFFF; font-size: 16px; font-weight: 600; margin: 0; padding: 0; width: 100%; } .ufb40399b0ab5ef785cf23300e274f77c .ctaButton { background-color: #7F8C8D!important; color: #2980B9; border: none; border-radius: 3px; box-shadow: none; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold; line-height: 26px; moz-border-radius: 3px; text-align: center; text-decoration: none; text-shadow: none; width: 80px; min-height: 80px; background: url(https://artscolumbia.org/wp-content/plugins/intelly-related-posts/assets/images/simple-arrow.png)no-repeat; position: absolute; right: 0; top: 0; } .ufb40399b0ab5ef785cf23300e274f77c:hover .ctaButton { background-color: #34495E!important; } .ufb40399b0ab5ef785cf23300e274f77c .centered-text { display: table; height: 80px; padding-left : 18px; top: 0; } .ufb40399b0ab5ef785cf23300e274f77c .ufb40399b0ab5ef785cf23300e274f77c-content { display: table-cell; margin: 0; padding: 0; padding-right: 108px; position: relative; vertical-align: middle; width: 100%; } .ufb40399b0ab5ef785cf23300e274f77c:after { content: ""; display: block; clear: both; } READ: Transgenic Rice Plants Essay The parchment is signed with a stamp of cherubins wings and by them a cross (Bacon, 420). For Blue Cross: First and foremost, I would like to know the health care providers that are involved in your plans? The reason why I pose this question is clear, as I could not find the health care providers 1listed in your asthma care management plan. Who are the physicians involved in your care? It is important for me to know who are the physicians involved with your services and their previous track records. Are the pharmacists and allergists that your care plan is supposed to provide registered? It is very important for me to know if your healthcare professionals hold a valid registration before I can trust you with the lives of the children of my employees (Papadopoulos et al., 2012). Are the nurses provided by you hold experience in the field of pediatric asthma care? Children care can be very tricky and it is vital that the nurses are registered and hold a significant experience in the field of pediatric asthma care (Sleath et al., 2012). What relief medication does your system provide? There are a lot of medications available in the market for asthma treatment with a lot of side effects and there is no information available in your website about drug control (Kit et al., 2012). What is the cost for purchasing the care plan? Again, there is no information available in the website about how much your care plans cost. Will I be given any concession as I will be purchasing care plans for all my employees? It is standard measure that bulk payment is given some concession, and I will like to know what percentage will I be entitled to. For Envolve PeopleCare: What are the asthma care plans provided by your company? I am impressed by the variety of care services provided by your company, but there is no clear description about individual care plans for specific ailments (Envolve PeopleCare, 2017). Who are your partners? It is very important for me to know who are associated with your care services. What relief medication do you use? There is no clear information available in the internet about what kind of medication do you use in case of pediatric asthma, for example, do you use corticosteroid (Kit et al., 2012)? Are the physicians and health care professionals associated with you registered? As mentioned, the health care professionals must have a valid registration before I can entrust them with the life of my employees children (Philp et al., 2012). What kind of patient family education programs do you conduct? In most cases, the families do not have much knowledge about asthma attacks and the safety protocols in such conditions (Rank et al., 2013). What are the expenses of purchasing your care plans? There is not information available that could guide me about the costs of your care plans. Will I be entitled to any discounts? I would also like to know if I will be given any concession as I will be purchasing a bulk amount of insurance covers. 3. My judgment was clouded by the lack of information, however, thee email responses helped me to overcome my dilemma. I choose Blue Cross insurance company for the following reasons: First and foremost, the company could provide exact details of their care plans regarding their asthma care management for the children, their transparency impressed me which was lacking in case of Envolve (Your Childs Asthma Care: Build a Team | Blue Cross Blue Shield, 2017). Blue Cross insurance company is one of the health insurance giants dominating the American market, and their popularity will help in elevating employee loyalty . Their asthma care management program is detailed and specific, with clear formation about the compartmentalization of the insurance covers. They could provide me with information regarding the performance records of the health care professionals associated with them and their annual success stats which impressed me to no ends. The family education program and school safety program is an excellent initiative and adds an extra feather in the cap for Blue Cross (Your Childs Asthma Care: Build a Team | Blue Cross Blue Shield, 2017). Lastly, the purpose behind this program was to reduce the company cost spent in the heath care covers for the employees, and Blue Cross people very kindly allowed me a good concession which justified the entire program.
